Fun News!

This is what shopping looks like.

So there’s some pretty exciting stuff going on here at Outside Joke. Some of it includes:

a) Snacks- chocolate almonds, pizza, hummus, veggie sticks, cookies

b) Goal-setting- five years, one year, six months, one month

c) Fringes- Regina, Winnipeg, Saskatoon. . .BAM!

d) Shopping- for our photo shoot tomorrow! Stay tuned for the sexy and confusing results.

That’s right, friends, spring and, soon, summer are upon us and we’re gearing up for fun. I know we’re almost half way into 2012, but I’m going to talk about this year as if it just began. People (mostly Aztecs) keep talking about how 2012 will bring the inevitable apocalypse, and we couldn’t agree more. But by apocalypse, we mean APOCALYPTIC CHANGE!! Fringes? We got three! Photo shoot? We got one, but it’s gonna be flashy! Goals? Plenty of those to go around! Birthdays? Our 10th is coming up!!

Another really exciting thing is that I (Andrea) am moving to Winnipeg! Toronto has been ridick fun, the city is great and has given me so much. However, Winnipeg offers up some of the finest and most exciting theatre and improv in the country, and I want to be a part of it again. There is a common belief that the bigger city always offers more to the aspiring professional in any given field, but this isn’t always true. Our improv and theatre scenes, although smaller than in TO, have the same amount of talent and innovation. Also, I really love Outside Joke! There’s no other group of actors I’d rather be associated with, onstage and off.

Ok, guys, that’s it for now. Off to Chadd’s to watch this show. Come and join us on Tuesday at the King’s Head, where I will be indulging in relatively inexpensive draft beer, another advantage Winnipeg has over Toronto. Join us for a pint. No group Jaegerbombs this week- we think we really cheesed off our poor bartender last time.
